Drives for Kids: Back to School

Last year our Baby Boutique provided more than 3,300 homeless children in King County with diapers, formula, shoes, socks and underwear and car seats and strollers, as well as toys and books. Baby Boutique is a free children's store where homeless families can "shop" for kids.

Your drive efforts can help us fill the shelves at Baby Boutique. Encourage everyone you know to donate by collecting donations at your home, work, or in your community!

Our biggest current need is for Back to School supplies for children currently being helped by Wellspring Family Services. Holding a drive for these essential items will ensure that all children have the basics supplies they need to succeed in school.

Our Current Back-to-School Wishlist:

  • Backpacks
  • 3-ring binders & tabs
  • Pens (red, black, blue)
  • Crayons, Markers & Colored Pencils
  • Pencils (regular & mechanical)
  • Highlighters
  • Calculators
  • Scissors (small, med, large)
  • College-ruled paper
  • Composition books
  • Subject notebooks
  • Index cards

For complete instructions on planning and running a donation drive, please review our Drive Planning Handbook (link at right).

We also have editable Posters specifically for your Back to School Drive (links at right) and simple instructions on how to update these posters to get the word out on your drive.

How to Get Started
