Agency Highlights

• The agency expands its work to include advocacy, professional education, and research as well as individual and family counseling. Until 1960, we were the only agency in King County providing family therapy.
• 1950 — The agency begins using psychological testing to assist in casework and treatment.
• 1951 — Fee-for-service is instituted after 50+ years of operating on a charitable basis.
• 1957 — The agency hires a case worker for Hungarian refugee resettlement of 260 families.
